About Us

We, "GERNE ゲルネ", are composed of three students from the University of Tokyo.

We have already held these kinds of international online events twice between Japan and Germany, and once among those from all over the world.

Each of these events turned out to be a success with over 50 participants.

2020/8/30 1st event

2020/11/7 2nd event

2021/2/20 3rd event

over 50 participants each time

Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United  States.

..and more!

Our vision is to offer a place where university students from all over the world can get in touch with one another regardless of borders.

Cultural Exchange

Let's get in touch with your foreign counterparts and exchange your own ideas, opinions and emotions. You can talk about whatever you like.

Language Learning

We also aim to provide participants with opportunities to improve their language skills. Our main language will be English.

Get to know and make friends with your counterparts from all over the world!
Since lots of participants enjoyed this event last time, we've decided to hold it again.

This time, we are going to chat together over the theme "Beyond the Difficulties."
Why don't you join us to enjoy chatting with your counterparts with casual themes, such as your stay-at-home time or your plans after the pandemic?
Feel free to join us!
